Every Journey is Unique
We understand that every individual’s journey is unique, and our commitment is to walk alongside you with patience, respect, and genuine care. We strive to create a collaborative environment where your voice is heard and your goals are central to the therapy process. By continuously updating our skills and knowledge, we ensure that our approach is both current and effective, helping you achieve meaningful, lasting progress.
Before starting therapy, one to two sessions are typically required for formal and informal assessments to gather essential information. This includes discussions with clients or caregivers about developmental or medical history, communication needs, and daily experiences, along with evaluations of current speech, language, or swallowing difficulties. With consent, we may also consult other professionals involved in your care. If a recent Speech Pathology assessment within the last twelve months is available, we can use it to help set personalised therapy goals. If necessary, a formal assessment report will be provided within 2-3 weeks.
If therapy is recommended, appointments are typically scheduled weekly or fortnightly, based on clinician and client availability. Each session includes 45 minutes of face-to-face therapy and 15 minutes for preparation and notes. To ensure optimal progress, we'll regularly review outcomes, assess goal achievement, and adjust your therapy plan as needed.
